We flew from Austria directly to Kentucky to celebrate Christmas. After some canceled flights, etc. we finally made it! Our first morning there, Daddy and I went on our annual pre-Christmas Daddy-Daughter date!

One of the Christmas displays at the beautiful Wakefield-Scearce Gallery. Love our annual Daddy-Daughter Date!
We attended Christmas Eve service, had one of my favourite meals of the year (appetizers!!) then went to bed eagerly anticipating Christmas morning! One special treat this year was Lucy got to spend Christmas in Kentucky!

Christmas morning around the “fire”. It was too hot for the real thing…
We pretty much ate all day. Not too many photos, but here is one as the dinner is being laid out.

Delicious Christmas dinner!
The day after Christmas, we went on a Bourbon Distillery tour! We selected Buffalo Trace in nearby Frankfort. A lovey distillery–even on a cloudy, wet day!

Buffalo Trace Distillery tour!

Look at all of those barrels…we could really smell the Angels’ Share!
Lucy had never had bourbon before, so she was excited about the tasting.

The five of us after an incredible bourbon tour and tasting! A true Kentucky experience.
A few days later, we met with with the Solomons and Deckers at Rumors. This has become an annual tradition that we all look forward to every year. You can’t get American style wings in London as easily as you can in the USA. Such a treat!

Annual Wings Dinner at Rumors! Delicious!
New Year’s Eve was special this year! We had dinner with the Deckers in Louisville and were joined by Patrick’s girlfriend, Megan, and the Kuhns–dear friends of our from our Furman days (and now)!
